NY Student Athlete Committees United is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting public New York athletics through our chapters and collaboration on statewide issues. In the first two years of our Hastings-on-Hudson chapter we've been able to raise just over $60,000 for different athletic programs and played a crucial role in the passing of the 9 million dollar Hastings athletic field bond by 71 votes.
To start a chapter all you have to do is to get a few athletes together, decide between yourselves who will be the chapter president, vice president, treasurer, media director, and secretary, and then reach out to both (include us in the same email) robjennemann@gmail.com and alyssaschlacter@gmail.com. Afterwards we'll have a video call to plan out communication with your district to set up the chapter at your school.
Our current goal is to help pass legislation to separate public and private high schools from playing each other in the playoffs as private high schools can recruit which is unfair to public schools. We hope that this legislation will improve the quality of play for NY athletics!

I helped found this organization as president because of the benefit I saw it have on my own community through the Hastings chapter. We've been able to improve athletes lives and that is something I want to do across New York. Currently I am a junior at Hastings High School in Westchester New York and I'm on the varsity baseball team.

I became involved with the Hastings chapter after seeing the impact on my own community. It showed me how much of a difference can be made in the lives of student-athletes, and it motivated me to help support its growth across New York. In my role as vice president, I also help manage and create content for social media to share our miss
I became involved with the Hastings chapter after seeing the impact on my own community. It showed me how much of a difference can be made in the lives of student-athletes, and it motivated me to help support its growth across New York. In my role as vice president, I also help manage and create content for social media to share our mission and engage with student-athletes. As a student-athlete myself, I really value hearing from other student-athletes and believe their voices should play an important role in shaping their experiences. I’m currently a freshman at Hastings High School in Westchester, New York, where I compete on the varsity track and field team.
